NEBBI- Three family members have died in an accident after a truck they were travelling in overturned on Jukia Hill in Nebbi District.

The dead were identified as Khorgan Openjirwoth, a former student of Uringi Secondary School, Davide Awekonimungu and Eres Oneno.

They were members of Jupachora clan in Jupangira Parish.

“I heard a loud sound and suddenly saw the truck overturn.  Government should tarmac the road especially at Jukia Hill because it has become a black spot,” Mr Okoko an eyewitness said.

He said the road is narrow and full of huge potholes.

Mr Patrick Agenonga, one of the elders in Jupa-Achora family says they have lost great and youthful personalities who were capable of taking over from them.

“We elders have little to do on this earth and it is not good to lose youths who should take care of us,” Agenonga said.

Several travellers who were injured have been hospitalised.

The traffic boss in the district, Mr Richard Olili, says the victims were heading to a market in Kucwiny Sub-county on Saturday.

He said the truck was in a dangerous mechanical condition.
