US air strike kills 10 al shabaab fighters
KAMPALA-
The U.S Forces on Wednesday killed 10 suspected al shabaab in an air strike carried out approximately 15 miles, South West of Mogadishu.
According to the statement issued by U.S African Command in Stuttgart, Germany on Thursday, the US forces said there were no civilian casualties.
“U.S. forces will continue to use all authorised and appropriate measures to protect U.S. citizens and to disable terrorist threats. This includes partnering with AMISOM and Somali National Security Forces (SNSF) in combined counterterrorism operations and targeting terrorists, their training camps, and their safe havens throughout Somalia and the region” the statement reads.
