The Village Mall Bugolobi is the newest addition to the predominantly residential neighbourhood of Bugolobi. This upmarket shopping mall will not only cater for the needs of shoppers within its primary catchment area of Bugolobi, but also those from Mbuya, Kitintale, Mutungo and Luzira.

The Mall is a welcomed development by the heavily-populated Bugolobi community that now has several office developments within its environs.

The shopping centre has three floors and has a unique and vibrant tenant mix with diverse offerings that will leave shoppers spoilt for choice.

Outlets to choose from
The mall has attracted interest from strong brands like Nakumatt, Barclays Bank and Orange telecom, among others, while also drawing the attention of internationally-acclaimed brands like Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) and Nairobi Java House - all occupying the ground floor.

The USA based restaurant chain- KFC is the world’s second largest restaurant chain (as measured by sales) after McDonald’s with over 18,000 outlets in 120 countries and territories as by December 2012.
Others are Brood Confectionery, C&A Pharmacy, Banana Boat, Elite Computers, Laville Wines, Spotclean Drycleaners, Kings Gadgets, and MTN among others.

Accessibility to the first floor can be made using the stairs, ramp or the state of the art panoramic lift that offers a splendid view of the mall and the courtyard below. On the first floor, we’re welcomed by the food court which comprises 5 outlets with various cuisines; Chinese, Italian, Indian, and Ugandan. It even boasts an ice cream parlour. The food court design, low ceiling and lighting, creates a warm and cosy ambience thus setting the mood for a relaxed dining. Right next to the food court are a bookshop and high-end wine lounge while the kids play area is strategically placed adjacent to the food court.

Other stores on the first floor include Kids world, Millennium Infosys, Era Beauty lounge & salon, Design me Interiors (Interior decor), Dazzle (ladies’ boutique), MTN (service centre), Liquid silk (Sports bar), The Groom (men’s apparel) and eye care centre.

The second floor offers fine dining restaurants to cater for family and private dining, a gym, spa, men’s only exclusive saloon (men’s refinery) and the mall’s management office.
Accessibility to the centre has been made even easier with the creation of five entry/exit points; two on spring road (Old Port bell road), one on Luthuli Avenue, another on Bandali Rise and a service entry/exit point at Bandali Close.

New shopping experience
This new development will heighten the shopping experience in the area through the provision of convenient shopping and social activities for the family to enjoy.

The Mall opens for trading today with Nakumatt, Orange, Banana Boat, Spot Dry Cleaners, Kings Gadgets and La Cara, a cosmetics store, while other stores will open later in the month. In November, it will have liquid silk and Kentucky Fried Chicken open.

With the opening of the Village Mall outlet, Kentucky Fried Chicken will have its first outlet in Uganda.
It is an exciting time for all, but particularly the Bugolobi residents as the Village Mall opens her doors to the public.
