We are fighting wrong elements, MP Kyamadidi tells Janet

Rwampara MP, Mr Vincent Kyamadidi, has told the First Lady Janet Museveni that the NRM party members labelled ‘rebels’, including himself, are not witch-hunting anyone, but are fighting wrong elements.
“First Lady, you might not be bad and I strongly believe you are not, but there are some people, who are wrong elements,” Mr Kyamadidi said.
He also cited cases of corruption at the Office of the Prime Minister, saying they would not keep quiet even if they are government officials.
“We will continue to embrace those who are good and fight the wrong elements for the good of all Ugandans.”
Mr Kyamadidi was on Monday welcoming Ms Janet Museveni to Rwampara, where she was officiating at the Rweinyaga Catholic Women Development Organisation 12th anniversary.
Demonstrating his commitment to fight wrong elements, Mr Kyamadidi accused Mwizi Health Centre 1V in-charge of being “a dangerous person who rarely works, has swindled money meant to buy fuel for the health facility’s ambulance”, saying he should be removed immediately.

Ms Museveni criticised some politicians and critics of the government over what she termed as “loose talk” which she said is “dangerous.”
“Some leaders just talk for the sake of it. Even on issues that are being investigated they make conclusions, which is very bad and should stop,” the Minister for Karamoja Affairs said.
Referring to the Late Cerinah Nebanda case, Ms Museveni said some people alleged she was killed by the government whereas not.
“Why would the government kill this young lady? This government does not kill, it did not kill (Milton) Obote, (Okello) Lutwa, and General Moses Ali is now in government,” she said.
Ms Museveni hailed the women’s group for being exemplary and inspirational in reducing poverty at household level. She contributed Shs5 million to the group.
Ms Proviah Tumuhimbise, the group’s chairperson, cited illiteracy, domestic violence and child neglect as the challenges they were facing.
