Wont accept. FDC members say they cannot accept a President who was declared winner in a sham election.

KABAROLE. FDC members in Kabarole District insist they will beginning May 5, join other Ugandans in peaceful party demonstrations to show dissatisfaction against the manner in which President Museveni won the February 18 election.
FDC supporters at the weekend told journalists in Fort Portal Town they cannot accept a President who was declared winner in a sham election.
“We were not happy when Dr Badru Kiggundu (EC chairperson) declared Mr Museveni winner because the election was not free and fair,” members led by the FDC district secretary general, Mr Robert Mutunzi, said.

They vowed to participate in peaceful protests to show dissatisfaction as Mr Museveni prepares to swear in on May 12. “We have informed police whoever wants to participate will have do it peacefully. The Constitution gives us a right to fight for our rights,” he said.
However, last Friday, Deputy Chief Justice Steven Kavuma stopped all planned defiance campaigns following an exparte (one-sided) hearing of an application in which deputy Attorney General Mwesigwa Rukutana urged that the campaign by Dr Kizza Besigye and FDC is illegal because it seeks to take government control through unconstitutional means.
