Most improved schools in PLE performance

KAMPALA- A total of 2,484 schools posted improved performance in Division One in the 2017 Primary Leaving Examinations compared to their performance in 2016.

The schools posted improved performance from 1 per cent to 67 per cent as the highest level of growth in the number of pupils passing in Division One.

Of these, Trinity Junior School topped the pack posting the highest improvement of 67 per cent in Division One, followed by Sir Apollo Kaggwa Primary School Kisaasi (65 per cent), Mother Care PS (64 per cent), Kiweewa Foundation P/S (63 per cent), Hillmark Junior School (61per cent), Vienna Junior Day & Bdg. P/S (61 per cent) and Holy Family Junior School (57per cent).

The top 20 most improved schools in PLE posted a growth of between 47 per cent to 67 per cent.
A total of 4,488 schools did not register improvement in Division One performance and their scores remained the same in percentage terms while 4,527 schools registered decline in performance ranging from -1 to -93.
