Bravo Speaker Kadaga

The Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga was elected chairperson of the Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians- International. Kadaga’s profile continues to attract both local and international recognition not because she is the first female speaker of Uganda’s Parliament, but because of her uncompromising stature.
Thus her recent election to this prestigious seat, should be used to propagate poor rural women’s welfare, fight against hunger and improve women’s livelihood in all Common Wealth countries. Ms Kadaga, now that the international community has seen good virtues in you, do not relent. Aspire for higher office including that of Ugandan presidency.
Of course, this calls on you to do the right things according to your conscience, not according to the whims of your party.
Remember the good wise counsel of Shakespeare that “ the good things that men do are interred with them, but the bad live to haunt them”. Continue doing good and leave a legacy to write home about.
