DTB Kampala Branch is overwhelmed
The Diamond Trust Bank (DTB) Kampala Road Branch is overwhelmed by the influx of people who need to pay URA dues or taxes. The banking hall reserved for URA transactions is too small. It is perpetually congested from opening time to closure and they have only three tellers to receive payments and only two to issue receipts.
I’m yet to be advised whether it is the problem of the software applied (receipts printouts are not continuous!) or it’s due to inadequate manpower.
If you enter the bank at 10a.m. and join the queue, you will end up reaching the counter at around noon. When you go to receive your receipt, the cashier first checks at the time you paid in. If it is noon or later, you are told to rather come back the following day instead of waiting around!
Why doesn’t DTB acquire more space especially for URA transactions and at the same time multiply the number of tellers at least threefold?.
We shall be glad to hear from DTB.

Water bottle and holiday discounts
I have two issues with two companies: The makers of Ripples drinking water and MTN. My problem with Ripples drinking water is the difficulty I face in opening the bottle.
The lid is simply too hard that one has to struggle to get it off. I will appreciate it if we, the customers, are helped by easing the process of opening these bottles because currently, it’s a tug of war to remove the lid of your water.
And to the telecommunication company MTN: I am wondering if you do not offer discounts during Christmas as a public holiday? I remember on public holidays, you used to give us a discount on messaging but this Christmas, it was a different case for me. Did you scrap that offer?
