I am disappointed by way events are unfolding in the NRM party. NRM has been in power for the last 26 years because of it’s good ideologies and governance. However, of late, it has been invaded by saboteurs who are being groomed by the party itself through tolerance or negligence.

NRM has rules and regulations but it has kept quiet and let a few members mess up the party. In party politics, a member of any party must at all times represent the stand of the party on any given issue. I have seen the opposite of this happen in the NRM, the caucus decides on a matter and some members air different views in Parliament.

Once a member does this, he is supposed to be reprimanded by the party. ‘Rebel’ members are increasing every day simply because the party does nothing to discipline them.

If such members don’t pull up their socks, the only option is to show them the exit.
