I appeal to President Museveni to recognise my efforts and those of other artistes from Karamoja who composed campaign songs for his re-election. I personally composed a song titled, Kiboyee Akapolon Alokicholong, meaning, ‘we still need him in power’.

It became the main campaign song all over Karamoja. I was chosen to compose the song by the district campaign team who promised to ask the Party chairman to compensate me.

I have been using my talent to educate my people on peace and development. In fact, I composed a song that was used widely for mobilising the people of Karamoja to hand over firearms (disarmament). I would like the party to recognize that I earn my living through my music as an artist recognized by Uganda Performing rights society.
