Church leaders must preach hard work

The prayer requests of most worshippers include marriage , jobs , visas , child birth , job promotion , land acquisition , vehicle and housing assets .

This is a response Deo Tumusiime’s letter in the Daily Monitor of January 3. As we approached the New Year, radio stations were airing adverts from the different churches informing worshippers to attend church service with their prayer requests.

The prayer requests of most worshippers include marriage , jobs , visas , child birth , job promotion , land acquisition , vehicle and housing assets .
Church leaders should teach worshippers that it is through hard work , patience and prayers that we all get the material possessions we want.

This is the reason we find worshippers hopping from one church to the other looking for miracles from church leaders they deem closer to God. Church leaders should remember that they are leading vulnerable , weak and frustrated people.
