Civil servants too deserve to be treated with dignity

Many civil servants have gone without salaries since July and the explanation has always been that there is a payroll migration. For instance, I missed my salary for August and November and even the December salary is least expected. We were asked to avail documents including bank statements for purposes of filling pay change forms but this has not yielded any results. This is unfair because bank statements are availed at a cost. Recently, a primary teacher who had missed his salary for five months was very saddened to find he had been paid only Shs10, 000. Our families deserve to be treated with dignity and to live a decent life. If our services are no longer needed then tell us.
