In the past, land title documents were in paper form, making them vulnerable to damage by wear and tear, water and fire and were only accessible in person at the lands office. Thankfully today, they are computerised.

The Minister of Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Mr Daudi Migereko, said the situation has been simplified enabling records to be delivered online thus improving public access.
The benefits of computerising records include; long-term preservation of these important records, easier access and availability to the public.

I think this will reduce congestion, bribery and fraud at the land offices.
