Do you know your purpose in life?

Towards the end of every year, many of us are challenged to reflect on the past year and think about all that we have been through. This is very common, especially in places of worship where the faithful are asked to think about those who died and yet God kept them alive.
Though this approach is effective in getting people to emotionally reflect on life, it is imperative to note that God did not create you or any of us in comparison to another. Even if no one died in a whole millennium, we still have to thank God for life, this precious gift with which we are able to accomplish all that we are. So are you fulfilling the reason God has kept you alive for?
Do you know why God created you? Are you fulfilling that purpose as you live your life? Those, I think, are questions we need to ask ourselves as we celebrate life in the New Year 2014. Happy New Year!
