Grade B and A hospitals in Entebbe have been characterised by poor sanitation, few health workers, limited medicine, absence of water and unstable electricity.
This prompted residents to call upon government to renovate the hospital. However it is very frustrating that the same people who made demands for renovation are now the same people fighting the move to develop it.
Residents of Entebbe should re-think before opposing government‘s plan of making the hospital a first class international trauma centre.
Entebbe deserves a first class international trauma centre that can serve both the locals and foreigners.
The creation of a VIP section at the renovated hospital should not scare the residents into thinking that it will only benefit VIPs.
