Don’t be a victim of superstition in 2013

An article was posted on the Internet by a British media house about a quest for people who would be willing to get married in 2013, basing on the superstitious notion that 13 is an unlucky number. Take note, these are not dwellers of a third world jungle but of one of the great nations that once colonised large swathes of territory across the world.

Just imagine the tension the Mayan people of Peruvian origin brought to the world in December 2012 over their old beliefs in alignment of the universe!

What people believe therefore has no respect for civilisation and can affect their character and destiny regardless of which part of the world they dwell in or work.

We must get rid of superstition, every time you try to progress, superstition will give you a reason why you are prone to fail and never allow you to strive to succeed. Superstition greatly affects people who believe that their destiny is not entirely in their own hands.

This year, there are two days on Friday 13, one in September and the other in December. I wonder what the superstitious will do then.
