In Summary

This is to my fellow students; don’t take your anger to the unconcerned, deal with whoever is responsible. The looting incidents are a disgrace.

I am very proud of Makerere University: it being ranked amongst the top 10 universities in Africa. In the golden years, many students from all over the country strived hard to be enrolled. In addition to that, there was a high demand for Makerere graduands to work in both private and public sectors. Students from Makerere were on demand.

Albeit, times have changed with so many mushrooming universities in the country. Students don’t have to worry about the high cut-off points allocated to each course at Makerere. Sadly, that great reputation has also been tarnished by the rowdy behaviour of students, especially during strikes.

This is to my fellow students; don’t take your anger to the unconcerned, deal with whoever is responsible. The looting incidents are a disgrace.

I know, we still have some good in us (students), we can do better than that. To the affected citizens in Kikoni, have some space in your heart and forgive us!
