Many girls in the rural communities have to spend part of their school time doing domestic chores They go to the garden first before going to school and run back home after school to prepare food for siblings.

Who mentors these girls? How do we expect them to read hard and become doctors and engineers when 80 per cent of the women around them are poor and abused.

Then the high dropout rates especially due to the increasing cases of early pregnancy, early marriage and defilement
There is need to re-distribute social services, conditions and opportunities such as information to the rural areas so that girls there will benefit from education just as girls in the urban areas do.
