Land use should be revisited before it becomes a critical matter

When the NRM took over power, Uganda had a population of 16 million people. Currently, it is at 34 million, an increase of 18 million. And because there is little or no economic diversification this has put too much pressure on land which has resulted into landlessness and wanton destruction of forests, woodlands and wet lands.
Unfortunately NRM has failed to see this problem, and has decided to handle, with kid gloves, new immigrants especially those from South Sudan and Rwanda more so allowing Rwandans expelled from Tanzania.
It is quite alarming that the Rwandanss crossed into Uganda with thousands of heads of cattle thus putting more pressure and more demands on the already limited land in uganda. This situation desperately needs to be looked into to avoid a future crisis.
