Leaders need to help in fighting jiggers

On January 3 Bukedde Tv aired a story during their news broadcast “agataliko nfuufu” of , people inflicted by jiggers in some villages in Busoga.

Busoga Region has very many high ranking senior citizens who should be able to rally campaigns against Jiggers in the region. I do not believe the region suffers from jiggers because of poverty. Although poverty may be a contributing factor, the major factors are lack of hygiene, laziness and superstition.

The way forward is for all the senior citizens from the Busoga region to come together and have a common front for mobilising, educating, and providing support to overcome this problem. It is embarrassing to see people suffering while the affluent from that region are looking on and busy politicking.
