In Summary

While those allegations are being investigated by the Inspector General of Government, and therefore not yet factual, it is irregular for Mr Lukwago, to act emotionally to the extent of banning journalists.

I was stunned when I watched news on one of the local TV stations and heard Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago ordering the expulsion of journalists from a particular media house who had come to cover his press conference.

He accused a particular media house of being biased in the way they reported about his alleged bribery scandals with the Chinese company-Foton.

While those allegations are being investigated by the Inspector General of Government, and therefore not yet factual, it is irregular for Mr Lukwago, to act emotionally to the extent of banning journalists.

It’s unfair to condemn a media house for writing a story that does not favour you yet previously, you could have praised the same media house for writing stories that were in your favour.
