I commend the minister of education Jessica Alupo for having come up with the new rules to govern the teachers in schools. Students should be treated equally and homosexuality in schools among other vices, should be fought.

These rules will improve on the children’s performance. Some teachers, for example, tend to pay too more attention to bright student as compared to those perceived to be dull.

Worse still, some schools form class streams based on the learners’ performance. This brings about segregation in the school and also makes the ‘dull’ students to completely fail because their ‘brighter’ counterparts, whom they would perhaps consult, are in different streams.
