Police CCTV cameras will boost security
Posted Wednesday, March 20 2013 at 02:00
According to last Sunday’s NTV 9pm news bulletin, the police have acquired CCTV cameras to help improve surveillance in the country. These cameras are to be fixed in crowded places, around dark corners and streets to help identify culprits like bad drivers, robbers and others.
This is a sign of development because this system has been tested in other countries and the results are good.
Once the cameras are installed, criminals will be cautious about abusing the law. The police will also be able to stop crime in progress since the surveillance is live and continuous. This is another sign that Uganda is steadily developing and bound for first-world status.
