This is in response to the story in the Daily Monitor of August 4 titled, ‘Pro-gays lawyers to demand Shs15b in costs’. Our country is too poor to afford such luxuries. The only “necessary” luxurious we can afford are the crusade size Parliament, huge Cabinet with, ceremonial presidential advisors, several public administrative costs like the fleet of vehicles to accompany the President, and tear gas for the Opposition.
How then can you dream of being paid such a huge sum of money for winning a case in favour of something that Ugandans are ashamed of?
If you want that money, you should perhaps wait for the next 100 or more years. Alternatively, please declare it as a debt relief for Uganda.
