Stop misleading people on census

I read about Simon Malinga of Njiri religion in Tororo District who refused census enumerators to count him and his family in the ongoing census exercise. He claims it is a sin according to the Bible and quoted some verses in the book of Jeremiah.
The followers of Njiri religion believe that after counting them, their names will be taken to Satan and that they will be stamped with th number 666 which belongs to Satan.
All these are myths that are made to confuse and mislead people. In addition to bringing people close to God, religions should also work hand in hand with government by promoting programmes like education, census, immunisation malaria control campaigns, etc but not sabotaging them.
