The clergy must support each other

I thank Father Rev. G Batanyenda for his open letter to all bishops in Uganda in the Sunday Monitor of March 3.

Thank you for highlighting solidarity as an important issue to our religious leaders.
I once went to Mweya Safari Lodge (Queen Elizabeth National Park) with my family for a tour. As we were returning to our lodge, squirrels crossed our path.

My stubborn boy ran and held one of them, and it made some funny noise. When they heard the noise, the other squirrels that had gone ahead turned back to rescue the trapped squirrel. Immediately, my son let it go.

If such animals, tiny as they are, can fight for a common cause, why did our bishops keep quiet when one of themBishop Zac Niringiye was arrested? I will always support Bishop Niringiye for the courage he has showed where his colleagues have failed.
