I am not the spokesman of the Catholic church nor do I bear any office in the hierarchy or structures of the Church.

I am an ordinary Catholic, only seeking to correct a common mistake. The Catholic Church ‘territory’ in Kampala is called Kampala Archdiocese and headed by an Archbishop. It is not Kampala Diocese as it is frequently referred to. There are four Catholic Archdioceses in Uganda:

Kampala, Mbarara, Tororo and Gulu. These same archdioceses are the seats of the Ecclesiastical Provinces: Kampala which brings together all the dioceses in central region; Mbarara brings together all the dioceses in western region; Tororo which brings together all the dioceses in eastern region, and Gulu, which brings together all the dioceses in the northern region.
