Treat gang-rape cases seriously

In Summary
Some patients who saw her said she had a bloated stomach full of condoms. The condoms were reportedly removed but she died.
Allow me to respond to your article of February 5 on gang rape. It is good that police has issued warning over the increasing cases of gang rape.
I recall a case in Soroti District in December, 2012, where a woman was carried from her house by a group of men who took her to a nearby bush at night and gang-raped her. A Good Samaritan found her in the morning and took her to Soroti Hospital but she was unconscious.
Some patients who saw her said she had a bloated stomach full of condoms. The condoms were reportedly removed but she died.
These sickening stories are endless. Sometime back, a similar incident occurred in Kabale District where a young woman was gang-raped and even pierced with sticks after the incident.
She never lived to identify her attackers. Most of us remember the tragic incident of the lady who worked with the Red Pepper. How many more lives should be lost before our good Parliament passes the Sexual Offences Bill?
