I was shocked when recently the Daily Monitor reported President Museveni promising to floor the Opposition in 2016. It is true he is entitled to vie for the presidency in 2016, however, I think Uganda needs a change of government.
By 2016, he will have spent 30 years in power which is more than enough for a visionary leader to transform the resource endowed pearl of Africa.
Singapore and South Korea which were colonised and at the same time as Uganda was were declared developed countries in 1997.
Uganda has changed but it is still a third world country, if NRM has not been able to change that status in the last 28 years, then maybe it is time to have another set of leaders take over from the NRM government.
