We shouldn’t reveal security weaknesses

I comment on the story in the Daily Monitor of September 25 titled, ‘Al shabaab terrorists could strike again.’ The Chief of Defense Forces Gen Katumba Wamala was wrong to expose our security weaknesses to the public and the enemies.
In my opinion, military weaknesses and problems should be kept as a top secret. His statement could encourage the terrorists to carry out more attacks basing on the information that Ugandan security is facing challenges.
Gen Katumba who is said to be a former boxer should remember that when you are in the ring fighting your opponent, you need to keep your weaknesses hidden from the opponent or else he will take advantage and knock you out within few seconds.
