Two teams, led by two of Uganda’s best basketball players, clash in the Friday Night Lights (FNL) tournament tonight with their focus on the semifinals.

Title holders Team Ikong, led by Joseph Ikong, are yet to drop a game and remain favourites to win this season. But a tricky examination awaits them tonight as they clash with Team Kasewu, captained by the versatile Ronnie Kasewu. Team Kasewu lost to Team Ikong 49-70 in last year’s final but possess everything to pull off an upset victory.

“This season they have stepped up their game and we are not going to take them lightly,” Ikong said of Team Kasewu’s threat.
Team Malinga take on Team Amonding in another encounter.
