KAMPALA- With both teams having already advanced to the knockout stage of the Nile Special University Football League, today’s game between Makerere University Business School (Mubs) & Uganda Christian University (UCU) is to determine who takes spot in Group B.

UCU will be looking to recover from their surprise 2-1 loss to Ndejje University on Friday in Luwero which coach, Jackson Nyiima blamed on their poor away form.
“This season, away matches have been tough for us having drawn against Busitema and lost against Ndejje,” Nyiima said

“However against Mubs we hope to do better and we are definitely looking at coming away with at least a point not a win,” he added.

Nyiima said that every game has ‘something riding on it’ and it would be wrong to say that having already qualified, both teams have nothing to play for.
“I don’t think you can say that there is nothing to play for. First of all there is pride and secondly, in football you never know. Results elsewhere could turn against you,” Nyiima said

Mubs, who have had a shaky start to this season’s campaign, have fared better lately and will be boosted by their emphatic 4-0 victory over KIU last week.
“MUBS have progressed, the team is better but we still have to work hard because we want to be on top. We have been improving gradually and many can see our results, thus UCU is not a big deal,” Mubs coach Charles Ayeiko remarked.
“We need to consolidate our position and that’s our priority”.

“We are never complacent, we know that they are a good team and they are a difficult opponent,” he added.
