KAMPALA- On five previous attempts, the two Ugandan franchises, Rwenzori and Victoria have emerged from the Bamburi Rugby Super Series (BRSS) bruised with no glory to show for their sweat.
Having joined in 2009, Rwenzori’s two losing causes in the finals is all they have to show in terms of success. Uganda has just held its own inaugural franchise event – the Protector Super Series.

Here, Protectors, now Victoria, and Crocs, today’s Rwenzori have earned their place having built some semblance of chemistry from a month of rugby. “I have reinforced my side in areas where we looked vulnerable during the Protector Series and my new side is going to be hard to crack,” warned Rwenzori’s Allan Musoke.

Eric Butiime, Gordon Chonga and Timothy Buloti will beef up Rwenzori who open their campaign against Papa. The other Kenyan outfit Chui face Robert Seguya’s Victoria.

“I am impressed with the way everything is unfolding in the sessions and I am convinced we are on the right track to better our chances this year,“ said Seguya.
