What you need to know:

Basketball. There are fears that the current rainy season will continue to hamper the Airtel-Fuba Basketball League.

Kampala.

Weather permitting, the second round of the men’s Airtel National Basketball League should tip off this evening at YMCA in Wandegeya.
This is after rain washed out Sunday’s games to leave the league at the mercy of meteorological conditions and intensify cries for the game to return to the MTN Lugogo Arena.
The venue, a national facility has not seen any basketball action this season after a disagreement between NCS and MTN on one side and Fuba and Airtel on the other. This has hurt the game.
That is consequently likely to be the topic of many a basketball follower who will attend today’s game between Ndejje University Angels and Diamonds in the Sun.
Both sides will be looking to improve their first round fortunes that have seen Ndejje, who finished sixth in last year’s regular season, slump to eighth with a 4-7 record so far. “It is like a bad dream,” Ndejje shooting guard Jonah Otim said of their first round performance.
“But we shall definitely be in the play-offs,” added Otim who has himself has had an indifferent season so far.
