That however seems to have deserted them last Friday, when they suffered a heavy 94-79 loss to KIU Titans was followed by a post-match altercation between their managers and referee Alex Onen.
They will consequently be keen make the right headlines this evening when they play KCCA at YMCA Court. With four games left, the Oilers are in a three way battle involving Betway Power and KIU Titans to finish the regular season as top seeds.

For many of the game’s followers however, today is when the first communication from domestic basketball federation Fuba is expected following the row between City Oilers and referee Alex Onen.
Daily Monitor understands all parties involved were invited and the issue discussed at the weekly Fuba technical and competition committee meeting that sat last evening.
City Oilers and national team manager Muhammad Santur appeared to strangle Onen before the two were separated with the latter in tears.
This is was after another Oilers official Hassan Ahmed and Onen crossed paths with the former expressing his disappointment about the officiating. Onen then appeared to drag Hassan by the shirt in the direction of Fuba president Ambrose Tashobya, prompting a fight back.
Onen then responded by shoving the latter cue the reaction of Santur before the two were separated.
During the game another referee Marian Birungi threatened to bring the game to a halt citing provocation from Oilers officials that were seated courtside.
