Jacinta OdongoA place in the finals will be at stake when Team Ikong and Team Malinga clash in the Friday Night Lights (FNL) tournament at YMCA tonight.

The two sides have been arguably the most entertaining so far with Team Malinga’s Desmond Owili the stand-out actor.

Team Ikong, searching for their third straight title, defeated Team Malinga in the preliminaries, which should be a confidence boost heading into tonight’s clash. But Team Malinga’s comfortable 57-36 victory over Team Amoding in last week’s quarterfinals was a clear message that they can fight for the top prize.

Team Ikong squeezed past Team Kasewu 51-47 in the previous round and their coach Emma Mawadri is confident of another final appearance. “Remember we are unbeaten,” he said. Team Koma play Blick in the other semi.
