Ronald Mugula insists he is up for the task against Albanian-born German, 26 year old Valdet Gashi, as he defends his European title come May next year in Kampala.

At 69kg, Gashi has had 119 card fights, won 71 and lost 48 while the Ugandan at 75Kgs has an impressive record of 43-10-6-22Kos.

Mugula stresses that he has the desire to become one of the greatest kick boxers in the world after winning a world title last October to add to his European belt.

“I believe real champions don’t win belts but actually defend them. And that’s what I am going to do,” Mugula said.
Mugula stopped Hungarian Andres Nagy in the second round in his world title fight in Kampala.

The Ugandan has spent a decade in Europe, most of it in Germany learning the techniques of the sport.
