Kampala.
Ugandan boxer Joseph Lubega is no stranger to defeat and suffered the seventh loss in his professional career in Johannesburg, South Africa on March 2, falling to a knockout (KO) to South African Ryno Liebenberg in the World Boxing Council (WBC) International light heavyweight title contest.

But Lubega commonly known as ‘Joey Vegas’ intimated to Daily Monitor yesterday that he will return into the ring next month against Russian Dmitry Sukhotsky in a title fight.

Now rejuvenated and under intensive training, the 2002 Commonwealth Games silver medalist has vowed to bounce back from the embarrassment.
“In every fight there is a winner and loser and I know what happened to me was an embarrassment but bouncing back is my priority now,” explained the Uspa boxer of the year.

“They were some mistakes that needed correction and we have worked upon them.”
The 32-year-old, who boasts of a 24-7 9KOs record, will face another biggest test of his boxing career that may rejuvenate or bury his career.
