Wanderers’ new signings had a quiet induction into the team’s ranks as the old guard delivered two victories on the opening day of the Twenty20 National League on Sunday.

Pace bowler Dennis Tabby (3/13) was outstanding as Wanderers restricted Division II outfit Tamil Lions to 64 runs.

Top order batsman Ham Kayondo notched an unbeaten 29 to ensure Wanderers crossed the line in 9.1 overs for a nine-wicket victory in the morning at Kyambogo Oval.

Deus Muhumuza, later, top scored with 40 not out and picked 3 for 19 to help Wanderers beat Nile by 13 runs.

Arnold Otwani was the only Wanderers new signing to show value for money with an unbeaten 22 against Nile.
