KICC and Patidar possess the top two batsmen and top five bowlers in the Night Cricket Tournament thus far.
The two teams meet today in the third quarterfinal of the revamped night tournament in what promises to be an intriguing fixture.
Paitdar will go into the game as slight favourites having won all five of their group games and possessing the tournament’s best batsman so far in Roger Mukasa. The opening batsman leads the batting charts having amassed 279 runs in five innings.
KICC on the other hand despite losing two of their five group games believe they have what it takes to counter their opponents with Gul Shazad and Daniel Ruyange on their team.
The pair has picked a combined 13 wickets in five games and are confident of victory according to skipper Hanumant Katkar.
“We have the squad to match any team in the tournament and I am confident my boys will deliver on Friday,” said Katkar. The team also has the third best batsman so far in Ronald Semanda (178 runs in four games).
