KAMPALA.
Challengers’ opening batsman Arthur Kyobe will be the centre of attraction when his side locks horns with his former employers Tornado in the men’s Division One National 50-Over League at Lugogo Oval this morning.

The left-hander donned the maroon stripe of Tornado until February this year; winning the 50-Over League and the National T20 League titles in the 2012 season.

At his new club, Kyobe has already found some delight after his batting exploits earned them the T20 title in April.

After that feat, Challengers were fancied for more glory in the longer format but they have not played to expectations thus far. The newcomers have lost their last three games and are languishing in seventh with seven points on the eight-team log.

Today, there is more pressure on Kyobe to deliver. “Playing against them (Tornado) is the same old story for me. I just have to stick to the basics,” said Kyobe.

“I feel no pressure at the moment; it’s a normal game since everyone gets a little pressure before action gets underway.”
