KAMPALA. With four days to go before action rolls off in the 6th round of the Mountain Dew MX Championship, Arthur Blick Jr has heaped praise on the four American riders already in the country.
The four Americans are among the six guest riders to grace the event at Uganda Sports Arena Busiika on Sunday. The other two are South African brothers Joshua and Jonathan Mulimi who arrive on Friday.
The veteran rider who had a chance of training with them last Saturday described them as in different class.

“The young man in Preston Riley in MX85cc is in different class and our riders have a lot to learn to reach such level,” the 10 time national MX1 champion said. He went: “We have been used to having guest riders in MX1, but this time round we have two riders in MX85cc, Preston and Jonathan Mulimi.” Blick Jr also welcomed the refurbished track and thinks it will bring out the best from the locals. “The track is now 90% sand like the ones in South Africa and if u get used to it, riding becomes simpler.”

Meanwhile, the battle for MX50 cc supremacy is likely to intensify between leader Gift Ssebuguzi, who has been beaten only once this season and William Blick Jr, the only rider to deny him first place this season. Blick beat Ssebuguzi in Round four at Garuga.
With three rounds to go, Ssebuguzi has 280 pts, only 42 ahead of Blick. The event is co-sponsored by KEA and Uganda Lodges.
