Kampala- Federation of Motorsports Club of Uganda (FMU) will hold a consultative meeting with drivers and other stakeholders in order to generate ideas of how to move forward as a fraternity.

“We want a new beginning for the sport,” Jack Wavamunno, the newly elected president, told the press at Silver Spring Hotel yesterday.

“We are meeting tomorrow (Thursday) as the new Management Committee. It is after this meeting that a date will be announced for the stakeholders meeting.”
At the same press conference, Katende Mukiibi, deputy vice president technical revealed that the 2014 events calender will be reviewed.

“The outgoing executive approved only events up to March, but Clubman Rally Championship events have already been reduced by two from 11 in the draft. We might make more changes,” Katende stated.

However, he said that NRC will retain all the seven events with Mbarara Rally, the first on the calendar scheduled for Feb 28- March 1.
