KAMPALA.

Isabella ‘Izzy’ Blick is keen to improve on her 10th place finish during the opening round of the MX Championship held in Garuga in January.
It was the first time for Izzy to compete in the MX65 category after she upgraded from the MX50 cc senior class.
This was the view of her father, William Blick, also president of the Uganda Olympic Committee (UOC) after the 9-year old acquired a new KTM bike worth Sh20m ($5,700) from Multiple Industries Ltd, her main sponsors yesterday.
“She is ready to take on all her rivals during the next round (Easter weekend),” Blick told journalists.
Blick was humbled that Multiple Industries Ltd had committed to support Izzy through another season. “Corporates want to be associated with champions and we are glad Multiple Industries once again have come out to support Izzy,” the proud father noted.
Earlier, Arthur Blick Jr, the 10-time national MX1 champion and Team Blick captain underlined the achievements of the team last season. He said they (Team Blick) secured four national and regional titles. “Siblings William Blick came out top in the MX50cc Peewee, Izzyscooped the MX50cc senior and the ladies title while her cousin Alestair was crowned champion in the MX125cc which is testament to our resolve and determination in the Blick lineage,” he remarked.
Romano Gonza, the public relations manager of the Multiple Industries said they are committed to sponsoring Izzy for the entire season.
Izzy started riding as a 3-year –old way back in 2012 and has gone on to win two national titles in MX 50 Peewee class and three in the senior.
