Kakaire lands utl funding

Peter Kakaire has received a major boost ahead of the Race to Race Sprint due Sunday at the Uganda Motorsports Arena, Busiika.
Telecommunications company utl, through their m-sente brand, will be his main sponsors this season starting with the Busiika event.
utl Chief Commercial Officer Shailendra Naidu announced and unveiled Kakaire’s Subaru N10 branded in the company’s colours yesterday. Naidu said the company was delighted to support such an inspirational sportsman.
“We are going to watch his progress closely throughout and we wish him every success starting with this weekend’s event,” Naidu said.
A delighted Kakaire said: “I am really excited about the utl deal. Competing in NRC is very expensive, but the sponsorship gives me a chance to take on the finest drivers in this championship.”
Kakaire has been out of the sport for nearly two years but bounced back this season. He has taken part in three events this so far. 22 drivers have already registered for the Sunday competition.
