Drivers for next weekend’s Royal Birthday Endurance Race have been given an option of choosing their opponents.

The event, to mark the birthday of King Ronald Mutebi is scheduled for Saturday April 20, 2013 in Lubiri. Leila Mayanja has seized the opportunity of a free choice by challenging Susan ‘Super Lady’ Muwonge, the 2011 national rally champion who has just imported a Subaru N12B, formerly of Mohammed Essa from Zambia - the reigning Africa champion.

“There is only one lady I want to drive against,” Leila, who was with navigator Faridah Ndagire, said during the launch of the race in Lubiri yesterday. Joshua Mayanja, the clerk of the course, said apart from the sprint (non- Championship), there will be motocross, 4X4 trucks and a Buggy championship.

The following day, the second round of Uganda Enduro championship takes place at Fiduga Flower Farm, Nsimbe on Masaka road. Meanwhile, the FMU team led by President George Kagimu on Tuesday donated forms to be used by students of St. Kizito Nattyole Primary School in Zirobwe, Luweero district.
