KAMPALA- In the past eight years, Ponsiano ‘Mafu Mafu’ Lwakataka and Duncan ‘Kikankane’ Mubiru, between them have won the Lato Milk Mbarara Rally four times.

Ahead of this year’s two day event which starts on Saturday, Mafu Mafu is confident he can win the event for the third time, he told the press yesterday at Lugogo.

“The odds are high on me to win the event. In seven years, I have two wins and when I enter an event, my aim is to win. Win or nothing,” the two-time National Rally Champion narrated.
Lwakataka won the national title in 2005 and 2007.

Lwakataka also revealed that he is going to drive his ‘ageing’ Subaru N8 in Mbarara but said it’s in good condition.

“The car has been rebuilt, thanks to Operation Wealth Creation. I am going to be their ambassadors,” said Mafu Mafu who is going to be navigated by Samuel Mugisha.
