KAMPALA. Fortune Ssentamu will attempt to close in on his fourth 85cc title when the fifth round of the Mountain Dew MX Championship takes place at Uganda Motosports Arena Busiika this Sunday.
In the last four years, only Ben Nsumba - in 2016 - has succeeded in denying him the title.
Ssentamu, the darling of the crowd, has amassed 231 pts from the opening four rounds with his nearest challenger Waleed Omar on 172 for a whopping difference of 59.

The youngster along with other riders have been undergoing intense training sessions under South African Neil Van Der Ross ahead of Sunday’s event.
In the 50cc senior, runner away leader Gift Sebuguzi will be hoping to get back to winning ways after a poor show at Garuga where he finished 4th overall.
Ssebuguzi scored 40 points while William Blick picked 54 points. Miguel Katende’s 43 points only served to increase pressure on the son of rally star Ronald Ssebuguzi.

In the MX1 Class, Maxime Van Pee must fight to close the gap on leader Arthur Blick Jr who has 206 Points. With second place Olivier Van Pee out injured, Van Pee is searching for a maximum 60 points to bounce back in title race. The highlight is likely to be the battle in MX125cc between championship leader Ali ‘Bobo’ Omar and reigning champion Aleistar Blick. The two are separated by only 13 points.
