Motocross fans often travel to Busiika or Garuga to watch contemporary riders do battle for honours.
At Busiika on Sunday, fans were treated to a history of one of the greats of the sport and a future of tomorrow’s champions.

Motorsport great Paddy Blick was remembered for his glorious contribution to sport in the country 10 years after his passing with a lap of honour of the sporting family including his brother Arthur Blick Snr, sister Dr Margie Kigozi, William Blick, Arthur Blick Jr and the grandchildren.

Prior to that Ali Omar and Alestair Blick continued their rivalry, one which augurs well for the future of motocross, in the MX85CC.

Omar is favourite with 386 points but that lead is not unassailable with Alestair on 338.

The next event is the East Central MX Championship third leg, which will also count towards the national championship, is set for December 7 at Garuga.
