KAMPALA. Champions KCC host 12th-placed Kira Young today in one of five games in the Uganda Premier League(UPL) that also has leaders Vipers travelling away to face Police.
Most attention though is likely to centre on KCC coach George Nsimbe (pictured) who will be taking charge of his final game at the club. Nsimbe’s contract is up at the end of January, but the fourth-placed club have decided cut short his stay after he signed a two year deal to work as an assistant coach at Tanzanian club Azam.
“It’s imperative he gets a rest before he goes to Azam. It’s one of the many ways we have to show appreciation to him,” club Secretary David Tamale is quoted as saying on the club’s website.
On his part, the tactician, who was in his second spell at the club, said, “It is obvious that I want to depart with victory.”
Last season’s league triumph was his third at the club having also claimed the 2012 and 2008.
The other interesting game of note has the unbeaten leaders Vipers hosting Police in seventh position.
Police’s fluctuating form has seen them win-less in their last four games after a bright start.
